NEW! Draft Design Recommendations
WCI is releasing for public review and comment the initial draft design recommendations for WCI  Subcommittees.  These draft recommendations include consideration of the comments received to date -- both in writing and provided during the January stakeholder meeting and subsequent conference calls.  Please note that these initial recommendations are just starting points for narrowing and focusing the committee efforts and that in the coming months more work will be done by the committees to flesh out additional details of program design.  Click to view the document:

Please submit written comments on these two draft recommendations to WCI through the "Submit Comments" section of the Website by Wednesday, April 16.

OPTION PAPERS: In October 2007 the five subcommittees of the Western Climate Initiative each issued a paper describing the options they have under consideration as part of the design of a regional, multi-sector, cap-and-trade program. These options were presented and discussed at the January 10 stakeholder workshop in Portland, OR.
